“Most of those folks are on the list just because they’re looney or cranky,” said Sebastian. “If those are motives for murder then we better put a twenty-four-hour watch on every politician, actor, and irate person complaining to a call center operator.”

“Hah!” laughed Glo. “But you do need to add Morimoto to our list.”

“I agree. One of the genies must be tied up in this somehow.” I thought about this for a moment. “Bibbie told us that Martin and Morimoto didn’t get along, and he seems capable of violence.”

“Actually, he said they clashed mightily,” said Atticus. “I agree with Paige, he does seem to be a violent type. Let’s add his name.”

“But Bibbie said that Genies can’t kill their masters,” said Sebastian.

“The big guy lost his lamp from breaking the code, right?” said Frank, looking up from grooming his tail. “Seems to me that bad things happen when genies break the rules.”
